A:AnswerAs far as speakers go, yes they should work. There are very few instances where they wouldn’t be compatible.
Mine is set up with two speaker sets from different manufacturers and works perfectly well.
A:AnswerHi John,
Thank you for the inquiry! When matching speakers and Audio/Video (A/V) receivers, the ohm rating of the speaker should be equal to or greater than the ohm rating of the receiver to avoid a risk of hardware damage.
Any speakers that feature bare wire connection will work to this receiver, as long as their impedances are from 6 to 16 ohms.
Regards,
David
A:AnswerYes you can. I bought this system a month ago and use it in my house. You will need to purchase a center speaker as well as 6 additional book style speakers with base to get 7.1 sound. All speakers should be passive with the exception of the base. Klipech makes a good surround sound speaker system package so you might check that out JBL also has some great speakers. You cannot use this system with a surround bar
A:AnswerAt set up, if you paired your receiver to the tv, then No. When you turn on your tv, it also turns on your receiver to match what your watching. If you did not pair your receiver, then each is separate and you can watch tv and listen to music !!! Hopefully this helps !!! ... Bill
A:AnswerHi Jesse,
Thank you for the inquiry! We recommend connecting wired speakers with a nominal impedance of 6 ohms to 16 ohms. When matching speakers and Audio/Video (A/V) receivers, the ohm rating of the speaker should be equal to or greater than the ohm rating of the receiver to avoid a risk of hardware damage. Check the specification of your speaker system.

Thank you for the inquiry! Unfortunately, this AV receiver don't support zoning function. We recommend our STR-DN1080 if you want that kind of function.

A:AnswerHi Tee,

A:AnswerI don't think the Bose 900 smart sound bar can be paired with a receiver like this
Usually sound bars are stand alone devices that already have a built in amplifier
So it defeats the purpose of a sound bar to try and pair it with a receiver
The type of speakers you're going to want to use with it are floor standing speakers/bookshelf speakers
A center channel speaker
A subwoofer
And satellite speakers/ in ceiling speakers
A:AnswerHi Joe,
Thank you for the inquiry! Do not install the AV receiver in a confined space, such as a bookcase or built-in cabinet. The reception might be poor depending on the location.
Place the receiver in a location with adequate ventilation to prevent heat buildup and prolong the life of the receiver.

David
A:AnswerIt does not. I just have mine connected to my TV that is capable of 120hz and only have the TV out connected on my receiver so I use my TV inputs instead of the receiver inputs which is no trouble
