“We have a Sony AV System 3 Receiver and Remote that we bought in 2004. We are not sure if it is the remote or the receiver that isn't working. If we bought a STRDH790 receiver and remote, would that be compatible with all the other components we have?”

As far as speakers go, yes they should work. There are very few instances where they wouldn’t be compatible. Mine is set up with two speaker sets from different manufacturers and works perfectly well.

Turn the Control for HDMI function on to use the “BRAVIA” Sync function.
