A:AnswerThe x8000mM2 apparently has less vibration and noise. As far as HDR10+ to my knowledge only one bluray player can do that and that is a $400 player made by Phillips. This player can only do Dolby Vision and HDR10. Also, as far as upscale i have only been successful with HDR10 being applied to all of my Blurays.
A:AnswerNo, you don't have to have a smart TV. The only requirement is that the TV must have HDMI input. The player will essentially be your "smart" component, using wifi to get streaming services like netflix, etc
A:AnswerThe two HDMI connections on the back are both outputs, one audio and video, and the other high-res audio. It also has a coax digital out in case you have an older receiver for surround sound that does not have HDMI inputs
A:AnswerI have a 65 inch Sony XBR. There was little to no benefit in adding this unit to my set up when I purchased it 2 years ago. Today it ceased working and only displays the sony logo on the screen. Its been used maybe 50 times in the 2 years. Mostly just sits there turned off. I would suggest a different unit.
A:AnswerI've had no such issue with 4k playback. try a different output(another tv) and check the cable as well. It would definitely be the uhd player itself though if it makes some really weird noises when those blackouts occur.
A:AnswerIn many cases its worth having Best Buy do the the install is well worth it. NOT IN THIS CASE. All you have to do is connect it to your TV and it will do the rest. Best Buy setup is almost as much as the player.
