Will this Blu-ray player play DVD's also? null

I have not attempted to play DVDs in this player. My guess is that it is backward compatible. It should say in the specifications.

Yes, like all 4K players, it will play 4K blurays, regular blurays, dvds, and audio CDs. One advantage of the Sony is that it has an optical Coax out, which lets you connect it to older 5.1 receivers like I have. HDMI to the TV, coax out to the older receiver.
