A:AnswerI have no idea, I also have one of the best Sony blu-Ray players and thought I would upgrade to the ultra 4K player but it will not work for me because it only has hdmi outputs no inputs so it will not work with my cable service and I can not run another hdmi cable because mine are built in and the tv is above the fireplace. The salesman wasn’t very knowledgeable about those products and he also wasn’t aware that the blu-Ray would not play 4K disc because it says 4K on the box....I’m going to take it back and get another Of the best Sony blu-Ray players , I thought Bestbuy had very knowledgeable sales people but apparently not......very disappointed.......Best of luck and Merry Christmas
A:AnswerHad the same issue at first until the player had been on for about 10min. Then I kept looking for the source then it started then I was able to complete set up and haven’t had a problem since however I did use a 4K hdmi
A:AnswerThis is just a blu-ray player. It doesn't convert content. It upscales non 4k blu-ray/streaming to higher quality, but so does any good 4k tv these days. you can play native 4k blu-ray discs though or stream native 4k content from Netflix or Amazon Prime though. There is nothing this will do for your cable box and regular tv channels.
A:AnswerHi Craig, the player doesn't support the use of web browser. You may check the specification here: https://docs.sony.com/release//Manual_4698406131.pdf

A:AnswerHi gonzo64, the player have HDMI connection and it requires to connect to a T that support HDCP2.2 for 4K output. For reference, kindly check the manual: https://docs.sony.com/release//Manual_4698406131.pdf

A:AnswerNot sure it matters. I've heard that DV incorporates HDR-10, so DV will automatically do the switching. If that's the case, the only reason to turn DV off is if your TV can't handle it.
A:AnswerHi George, yes, if you're only into watching Bluray, DVDs and online streaming, this unit, and an active internet connection are all you need. Regards, -Mark
A:AnswerI use this only as a Blu Ray player. I watch HBO MAX through my Samsung TV as they are the only smart TVs that let you do that. You have to agree to Sony using and sharing all your info through this Blu Ray player to access the internet. I chose not to do this so I don't know if HBO MAX is an app you can use on this device. Hope this helps.
A:AnswerDoes not have the Disney+ app, but I have been told that you can plug in an external stick, such as an Amazon Fire Stick that DOES support Disney+, and get the app that way.
