• A:Answer I hooked up my turntable to a Vizio mini bt soundbar I owned. The output volume is decent for a medium sized room. If you have a phono pre-amp it should work but don't expect the sound quality to be great as my soundbar had a digital amplifier.

• A:Answer You need a pre-amp (>$20) and yes, speakers. If your speakers are powered, that's it. If your speakers aren't powered (meaning they don't recharge or plug into a wall) then you configure as so: Turntable>preamp>amplifier>speakers. If you don't have powered speakers and don't know what ohms law is, BUY powered speakers and save yourself the headache-your research hasn't hit the audiophile realm therefore powered speakers will provide perfect sound quality for your application.

Q: QuestionI'm trying to use my Kenwood KRF-V6090D Receiver with the Sony turntable I purchased. I've hooked up the RCA jacks to the AUX L and R on the Kenwood but I can barely hear the music. When I switch to radio, the sound is fine.

• A:Answer NO, my Sony USB Turntable 300 that I paid around $129 for at Best Buy last month only plays 33 and 45. Not sure about other Sony USB turntables, but upon checking I did quickly see an Audio Technica brand USB turntable on the Best Buy website that did include the 78 rpm format at $299. Probably considerably more higher end than mine. What you need to do is check all Sony and Audio Technica USB turntables to see if one is right for you price wise and performance wise. Maybe even other brands. Since my concern is the 45 rpm format and I didn't want to go really high end, mine works for me. Good luck.

Q: QuestionWorks with Vista 64 bit?I bought by PS-LX30USB turntable in 2009. It worked great with my Windows XP computer. Later I got a Windows Vista 64-bit computer, and I can't make it work at all. Should it? Must I buy a Window 7? or Windows 8?
