• you proab need tape monitor button, older units have them, and even some equalizers do as well

• Yes, You can. You do have to disconnect the USB cord from the computer to be able to play it back from the computer. This worked for me.

• Probably. I know you can hear the music thru RCA jacks and thru the computer at the same time. It should work, as long as the playback doesn't get interfered while recording (for example, like someone presses stop during recording), as long as you hear the sound thru the computers, it will be alright only if the recording device is set to the USB device by default, and not the microphone. Don't record using the microphone... bad mistake, cause then, you'll get every single sound recording instead of the vinyl record.
