A:AnswerI have the Sony ICD-UX560 Digital Voice Recorder and I have been able to record a land-line telephone call using a wireless phone recording controller to connect the telephone to the recorder. The wireless phone recording controller that I used is the Radio Shack Wireless Phone Recording Controller (Cat. No 17-855) that I purchased in 2007. I don't know if this product is still available at Radio Shack, but you can see the description of the product and how it works at http://support.radioshack.com/support_phones/doc68/68345.pdf . You have to have a headphone/microphone headset to connect the telephone to the recording controller. The headset connects to the wireless phone recording controller and the controller connects to the telephone and the digital voice recorder.

A:AnswerNo. I thought the advertisement said it was compatible but when I received it, I realized that it is not compatible with Macs. Very disappointing. Otherwise love the recorder. i was getting ready to leave for Africa when i received it, so didn't have time to make a change.
A:AnswerAre you turning it off when not in use with the little slide power button on the right side? If so, and this is still happening, I believe you have a defective unit. I have used my recorder so far for 14 hours of sporadic lecture recording to the internal memory (over the last four weeks) and not recharged it, and while the battery is low, it's not dead yet. I record at MP3 quality.
