QuestionHow to stack dryer after stacking kit installation?Hello, would you please provide instructions on how to go about stacking the dryer atop of washer? I know this should have been done during initial install but I wasn't there during delivery and therefore was not asked about this option.

- Answer First, make sure that the vent is disconnected and the dryer is unpluged (if it's gas have a professional involved in disconnecting and reconnecting the gas line to ensure proper installation). Follow instructions for the install kit for installing the kit onto the washer, with a 2 man crew, put the dryer on top of the washer, secure the dryer using the install kit, then connect your vent & gas then plug the dryer and your ready to go. FYI... if your laundry pair/washer is on a pedesta(s) you will have to remove them.

QuestionDoes this change the depth of the washer and dryer?I only have 34 inches to work with and I am a little concerned that this may change the overall depth of the washer and dryer.

- Answer Thanks for the question. Unfortunately the installation instructions are available only as hard copies packaged with the new stacking kit at this time. Samsung recommends having the kit installed by an experienced technician, so I would suggest contacting your local Best Buy for assistance. - Ms. Samsung

QuestionStacking 220 series depth neededI was told the stacking kit to stack these off-sets the dryer from the washer by another 4 or 5 inches; increasing the total depth requirement. Is this true? if so is there another kit; to stack them directly on top of each other? What total depth would be required?

- Answer I have a 419 series, not the 220 series. But on the 419 it did require an additional 3", which I really did not have to spare. I think they offset them because the top of the washing machine slopes backwards.

Questionare there rough in drawings for the stackable washer and dryer?In the normal side by side application, the plumbing box (water and drain) and electrical outlets (washer and electric dryer) are visible and accessible (above the washer and dryer) in the case of emergency. What are your recommendations for the stack units?

- Answer Thank you for the question. While it is helpful to have easy access to the drain, water and electrical supply, the placement of these items depends entirely on the layout of your laundry room. If your room allows, it may be helpful to have access to the water and drain on one side of the stacked units, with the electrical outlets on the opposite side since moving the washer and dryer to access behind them can be very difficult once they're stacked. I would suggest downloading copies of the washer and dryer user manuals from Samsung's website for more information on dimensions and installation requirements. For more information, I would suggest contacting your local Best Buy appliance or installation teams. - Ms. Samsung
