I will be using this with 9 cameras. can you make the screen be filled with the number of channels you are using, or does it show all sixteen with the ones not being used staying blank? null

you can make it 3X3 (9 total). But depending on the size of your monitor you may also want to consider the auto sequence feature. It goes through each working camera for a period of time you select. I have mine set for 4 seconds on each camera.
