You would have to mount the cameras and run the wires to the dvr. We ran ours through the attic

Wires are ran to each camera on outside of house through the attic and connect to dvr box. Can record up to 28 days, plus can download to fl as sh drive

The system comes with 8 cables that are 50 feet long. You must run the cable from each camera back to the DVR. You can buy extra cable at most electronic stores. Most of the security system cables are the same. It takes time and be sure to plan out how you want to run the cables. I ran my through my soffit and fascia but you can drill and run them through the attic or basement if you choose.

Each wire is individually run from the camera to the Hard Drive provided. you can run the wire through anything before connecting either end.
