I purchased this camera system for a commercial office, and was really easy to install and use. I have never done this before, and could even do this. I ran 8 cameras through 3 different rooms, which gave me great range and coverage. They were mounted to drop tile ceiling. The only complaint i have is that it could have come with longer cables. 60 Feet would not have been enough even in my home. 100 to 150 feet would have been better. The picture quality was good. It would have been better, but i was only viewing through VGA on a PC Monitor. I wish it could have come with a PC HDMI not just TV HDMI, as they are two different sizes. The 1TB Hard drive is plenty storage even for commercial use. I have about 28 to 31 days viewing capacity. I am thinking of purchasing one as well for my home.

See picture. Decnent system for the price. Camera is a little too sensitive and sends numerous alerts daily. Camera cables are very long and had no problem reaching from the front door to the second floor balcony.

We looked at lots of systems This was fairly easy to install and we are not tech people Love the DVR player and so far seems to be doing a great job Since the police are so busy have to do what you can to help yourself Keep the criminals on the losing side

A really nice and easy system for a a home owner, internet connection was automatic and simple picture quality matches the cost of the system night time on inferred could be better fog and drizzle looks like a snowstorm

I researched several systems before deciding on this one so far, two months later, I'm not disappointed. The installation was kind of a pain, but that could be the case for any system. You have to run wires from every camera to the DVR, and sometimes that is not an easy task. Again, that's going to be the same with most of these. The video is decent, and I like the fact I can record all of the cameras and get about a weeks worth of footage before it starts to overwrite. The night images are pretty good too, just don't expect to see long distances in total darkness. I can see my barn and neighbors house almost 200 feet away, but there are some security lights on the barn and the neighbors garage that help light things up. Again, most of the systems in this price range will have similar limitations so that is not something bad about this one specifically. The motion sensor/alarm hasn't been very useful for me but I'm still playing with it. I really have no complaints about the system and enjoy being able to see what's going on around my property while I'm working from home. I would definitely buy it again. I currently have this connected to a 24" computer monitor, but also ran an HDMI cable through the wall from my office into the bedroom so I can display the video on a 32" TV if needed. It handles both outputs just fine, and it's a handy feature. One last note, this unit come with 8 cameras, like many others, but it will actually support 9 cameras. I added an extra one inside my garage that captures any activity into or out of the garage or the door to the house from the garage.

These cameras (a set of 8), were installed on a flat roof home. That is virtually the only type of construction in Santa Fe, New Mexico. These cameras are well built and seemingly very sturdy. The issue that we faced was that we do not have the typical construction that goes through an attic type scenario. We were concerned with the cables being exposed on the roof. We did drill a hole through the roof and put in a roof jack and also PVC pipe fittings to prevent water coming in through the roof. However, outside of running pipe from each camera, we just sealed the connectors instead. We've had the system up and running for over a month, and so far so good, even with heavy rain this summer. We'll see how they hold up with snow on the roof this winter. The cameras have decent resolution and I am aware that night vision is not that great. This is very true. It is very difficult to identify people unless you are already familiar with them. The playback though, is where it gets really blurry. 30 fps is really good for the DVR standards as far as I know but it does make it a challenge to identify things especially at night. I think that cameras with full digital 1080 are the way to go for the future but the storage issues would be huge and there is not affordable systems for outdoor use "yet". However, I do believe that these cameras are quite a deterrent after a robbery across the street and several unsavory characters living nearby. Even the neighbor girl (4), put on an impromptu dance routine for them! Between my alarm system and some door fortifications and these cameras, I feel safe again to leave my home and have a sense of security back that had taken quite a hit this summer.

My father purchased this camera to help with security around our house since you can never be too careful these days. The cameras were very easy to install and the DVR set up is very easy to use, a separate monitor is needed though and we luckily had one stored away.

All in all this was a breeze to mount and install and its working great. The night vision seems to be a little less then advertised, and if you mount them too close to something else they create their own glare, but all in all its seems to be a pretty solid system.

I have installed this system in several retail stores. Installation is pretty simple and operating is as simple as using a DVD player.With this system we have caught several shoplifters and the police were able to review footage to catch a bugler that broke in during the night. Very good picture Quality And ease of operation make this an excellent system for our use. Would also be excellent for home security.

This is the best money I have ever spent. I recommend everyone purchase this system. Pictures are very clear & the service I received from Bestbuy was out of this world. Friendly, fast & very helpful. This is a must buy product & I'm not one for giving reviews but this has made me very happy.

This is of value for the price. The setup is relatively easy. The cables for the cameras are 50 feet each, which may be too short if you have a complex roof/attic structure. The screws included are not hardware store quality.

Simple system to set up. Leads have to belong enough to attach to the main system so need to run lines in the attic or walls if you want them hidden. Good picture quality

My husband did the installation and i did the software set up on the computer tv very easy clear view i have a day care so it works great, my husband and I are able to check our iPhone and see what's going on at home when we are away which is the main reason for getting this product i would strongly recommend it.

Camera system has excellent color video during daylight hours. In black and white mode, as in night time, video is good only. I am still learning how to use better.

This is a great product for the price. The mobile app works great and the installation is not too bad. I just wish the DVR was wireless....

Great value for 1 tb storage and more cameras than I have areas to watch -extras available for future use. Clarity of picture is excellent. Cameras do well in low light. 2 camera power packs allow for more versatile placement.

I had them installed by a professional who pointed out the quality works well for use in my home. the installation and use is easy for a first time camera surveillance user and I can see my pictures remotely on my ipad, iphone or computer at home by downloading an app. The quality of the picture is fair I expected something more but for the price it meets my needs.

These cameras are very nice. I wish they had night vision but they get the job done either way!
