The battery has gone bad and I would rather replace the phone instead of purchasing a new battery.. How can I purchase a new T-Mobile phone like the Samsung t-199 or something similar and be able to keep my phone number and transfer the info from my phone to the new phone?”

Hi, I just had the same thing happen to our ancient cell phone. We just went to Best Buy and asked them for another phone that would fit the same SIM card. It cost us 19.99 and everything rolled over to the new phone. Cheap and easy! Hope this helped. But you will have to re enter your contact list. Only your phone number and unused minutes will roll over to the new phone.

Just make sure that the SIM card from your previous phone is the same size. If not, you may need to purchase an adapter to make it fit in this regular sized SIM card slot for this phone.

Please try again later.If you purchase a new T-Mobile or even an unlocked phone, all you'd have to do is take your SIM card out of your old phone, and place it in the new one. You can also PORT your number to a different service, but to get the details on that, you'd have to go to the service's store that you want, ie bestbuy mobile, or an ATT dedicated.

Just install your current SIM and you're set to go. I have done this a couple of times and can assure you it works. It is a small flip phone.
