The cord is 4 feet long... Only if you have the cigarette lighter plug in type and no it does not stop recording when you hit a bump if your sensitivity is too high it will record it as a incident if your SD card is small it will rerecord over the incident also keep in mind if you have a small compact car or a stiff suspension your sensitivity has to be at the lowest setting
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'd say the cord is about six feet long. Mine is all hooked up so I don't want to take it all down to measure, but it was easily able to go from my rear view, along the ceiling to the passenger side, down the edge of the windshield, along the passenger floor, and up the center console to plug in... and I still have about a foot of slack. I haven't had any issues with it recording with bumps locking data down. I drive, daily, on a dirt road... and so far I haven't had any issues. But as long as its on it records continuously. If it senses a car accident, however, it will lock down that data. The one time I needed the data I simply reached up afterwards and turned it off to make sure nothing would overwrite the data. If you're worried about data being overwritten I would recommend getting a 64gib card for it.

Events are stored and recorded over, as well as standard recording times. No big deal, works good. But, transferring video to "zip drive" still a challenge. I accomplish by playing on laptop and record video off screen with phone or ipad which distorts clarity of video. Good luck.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi there! The 12V power cable is 20 feet long. Once the dash cam detects impact, it switches into Incident Recording Mode and saves the clip into the "evt_rec" folder that is separate from Continuous Recording Mode footage to prevent important footage from being overwritten. If you are concerned about sensitivity, you can alter the sensitivity levels with the PC Viewer software.
