Hi Steve! The majority of voice guidance alerts can be eliminated by adjusting the "Volume" setting to "OFF/0" with the PC Viewer software that was designed for users to review footage and change settings. If you have not already, you can download the PC Viewer for free from our website here: http://bit.ly/2gGUrVJ Kind regards, Thinkware Customer Support
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. Download the Dashcam viewer to your PC. Remove the Micro SD card from the F50 and plug it in the PC. Open Dashcam viewer, click the settings icon and select your Micro SD Card then un-check the voice option. Save then exit the app then place the SD card back into the F50. Power it up and you should only see the LED indicator go from RED to Green without the annoying voice prompt that recording is enabled.. Using the same procedure you can change the date and time on the F50 and update new firmware. Go to the Thinkware.com website and download the new firmware. Place the firmware file in main directory of your SD card. It will automatically update on the next power up. All settings of the F50 are managed through files on the SD Card. I immediately upgraded my SD card from the included 8gb to a 64gb for more storage. Just make sure and copy all of the files and folders from the old card to the new one because all startup files and folders are needed. Want to remove all of the old video files? Power it up and hold the record button down for 5 seconds. This is a great camera, just the owners manual was lacking some clarity.
