“Does the camera need to be plugged in continuously? If not, how long does the battery last?”

• I leave mine plugged in. It only draws electricity when the vehicle is started with a voice prompt and green led to let you know unless you buy the hardwire kit for $30 and connect it to your fuse box. The F50 does not have a battery. Hope this helps.

• No battery, always needs power. they make a hardwired in kit for this camera as well.

• Hi there! All Thinkware dash cams use a Super Capacitor instead of a battery. To power the dash cam, you can do so through a 12V socket or hardwire directly through the fuse box. Please note that hardwiring installation is the only installation method to enable Parking Surveillance Mode to safely continuously power your dash cam with the ignition off. We hope this helps!
