“I had a Garmin Dash Cam that would overheat in the summer and act flukey in cold weather. With this being mounted on the windshield, how will the direct sunlight while parked affect this item? I don't want to waste the money if it's going to fry itself.”

My F50 overheated.. even with the “heat protection” and I think that fried the SD card… The F800 is a far superior camera and so far has held up to extreme colds and heats… During the winter time.. the battery was warm enough that I never had to scrape that part of the windshield… Hope that helps
