Do I have to charge my GPS before going on a trip/ null

Hi there! You shouldn't need to charge your device before a trip, we really advise to keep it plugged in whilst in the car so that it can perform at its best. However, in the case you can't use the CLA adapter ,you can always charge for two hours, then the battery should last approximate two hours (this may vary though). No... you should keep it plugged in the outlet cause this unit spends the battery rather quickly

You can use the cord to plug in your cigarette lighter or USB outlet in your car while your using it.
