You will have to connect the coaxial cable from the house to the Netgear CM500 cable modem. Then the Ethernet cable (yellow port) to your laptop or PC. If you want and need Wi-Fi at your place, you will need a wireless router. Which I think you have too. You will connect the Ethernet cable (yellow port) from your Netgear CM500 cable modem to the blue port on the TP-LINK Archer C50 wireless router. The set up and password protection for your Wi-Fi is easy to set up and can be done quickly and simply using your smartphone.
