The AC1200/C50 is a no frills easy setup wireless router. The AC1200 is a simple product, this is not for the high-end user. This product if for the casual user that needs Wi-Fi at a low cost. The AC1200 is smaller than most home routers. You’d think with the size you would have to sacrifice some features this is not the case. The AC1200 still has guest networks, good speed and some limited parental controls. The wired switch is not gigabit, but if you have a limited wired lan this will be just fine. The setup is pretty straight forward plug it in and connect to it via Wi-Fi, the SSID and the initial password are printed on the bottom of the unit. Connect to the Wi-Fi and visit http://tplinkwifi.net/ in your browser. I could not visit the configuration page via IP address because my cable modem has the same IP range. Follow the onscreen instructions and you’re done. Just make sure you pick good strong passwords. Submitted as part of a free sample program.

Was looking to replace an old router. I was having trouble getting a reliable signal on the 2nd floor of the house, as well as any signal at all in the basement. The cable guy suggested upgrading the router. I didn’t want to spend a lot, but the cable guy said any newer router would probably offer some improvement. This router immediately fixed all my problems on the 2nd floor, and after a little antennae adjustment, the basement problem was fixed as well. The dual band is a plus; I use the 5 on my tv that is close to the router and the speed and picture are great! I also like having a guest network option to offer to my mother’s caregivers.

Just got one of these for use in my business. Replaced an old router and this one definitely provided a stronger, more reliable signal. We are able to put it in the back storage closet and still get coverage throughout the building. Love the multiple bands and guest channels – perfect for securing a line for business work and credit card processing while also offering a separate public/guest channel.

I have 100mbps internet from Spectrum and live in a 900 sq ft apartment. At the farthest room in the house on the 5ghz bandwidth this pushes 96mbps and 2.4ghz bandwidth 82mbps. This was a great buy being on sale and only $40. I can’t recommend this enough for entry level wifi, or anyone who has the 100mbps internet plans.

This router was easy to set up and has a built-in utility. The connection to the internet is auto detected. The range is sufficient for a proximately 1500 square foot home

I used this to replace my old but still working Linksys. I was surprised to find that my range expanded a lot. Real easy setup too.

When my internet kept going out, the technician told me it was time to get a new router. I didn’t know much about routers and was nervous about ordering one. I am so pleased I chose this router. I took it out of the box, plugged it in to outlet and modem. I went to my WiFi settings on my iPad, put in the password and I had internet!! It was that easy. My internet is fast and has not gone out once. It works throughout my whole house (1900 sq ft)

Very cost efficient ac router that worked in my house, i will get all coverage anywhere in my house, maybe between router is in middle part of my house, my house is about 2000 sq ft, only down side i think might be this router is very light compare my last netgear router.

Excellent router. It's speed, range, and reliability are all excellent for my home use. I use it for streaming, casting, and gaming.

Great product for around $50.It is very easy to setup and supports high speeds. It has a decent range too. I haven't come across any issues with it.

It's sped up my life. My modem/router was so slow.. I was getting 6mb/s from my Ethernet connected computer and downstairs getting less than 2mb/s max. After connecting up this wireless to downstairs it jumped to 5mb/s which is only 1 mb/s less than my corded computer! It's amazing to have the speed finally for my VR. Very easy to set up, just connect the ethernet to a modem port and then connect to the router through the internet port..and boom.. instant internet from the router.

Purchased TP-Link Archer AC1200 C-50 from Best Buy online. Set it up as soon as I received it. Works excellent as a dual-band (2.4GHz and 5GHz) but the product features listed on Best Buy's website unclude a built-in media server. This model does not have that or USB ports to connect your own drive. Keep that in mind when purchasing a new router. I should have done more research before purchasing. Fairly easy to set up. Several advanced features for a basic router. Other reviews were very good which swayed me to replace my old Netgear unit that drops once every two weeks requiring a power cycle. Hopefully this unit is as reliable as described.

What a great price for this device! I bought this router for my daughter to use at school. She cut the cable cord last year and the router is able fast enough as for her to use YouTubeTV, stay connected with great internet speed and work at her job from home. The icing on the cake is how easy it was to set up. Great value at full price!

I am very pleased with my new router. It offers excellence in viewing my computer, IPad and cell phone. It was easy to install and has a sleek look on the shelf.

I wanted to stop paying Spectrum the monthly service fee of 5 dollars for renting their router. I work from home full time and was a little hesitant at first. Once installed, I found little if any difference in speed. One of my smart tvs on the main level of my home was pausing or caching during streaming movies. I thought, oh oh, router is not as good as the old one. Then I disconnected the wifi and reconnected to the smart tv, All pausing went away. There must have been some kind of poor signal with the initial connection. I am not sure if there was a firm ware update that happened. I am very pleased and will recoup the cost in 6 or 7 months. I wish I had done this two years ago. So far, very pleased.

HAVE HAD THIS UP A RUNNING A MONTH NOW. PERFECT. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. ALL MY DEVICES ARE VERY QUICK NOW WI-FI . HAD A NETGEAR N600 PIECE OF JUNK. THIS WAS THE EASIEST INSTALL EVER AND THIS IS NOT MY FIRST RODEO. BELKIN AND NETGEAR WILL NEVER USE AGAIN. A ++++++++++++++++++++++++

Something you should know: The router you get is different from the pictures. Same design just without a USB port. I already have an existing router from Fios but I am working on a small project so I need another router to run some devices off of. This router was simple to set up. The build is what you pay for, cheap, lightweight plastic. There are no rubber feet on the bottom but I didn't really mind. All of these issues are minor and pretty nitpicky, the router does well and the range is the same as my existing Fios G1100. The app is a good way to keep track of the Wi-Fi password and a good way to share it too. For the few hours I have used it, it hasn't dropped connection at all and has held a 5Ghz connection farther than the G1100.

If you are not seeking advanced features, this product have basically everything you would need for the price you pay. i love it for its quality, performance and especially the price.
