No this is not compatible with Coax cable. This is ONLY for (RJ45) Ethernet cable only. Ethernet in a and Ethernet out. hope this helps. Thanks

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Routers are independent of internet providers. This is not a combo modem and router. I have a modem made by Arris that can accept the speeds you are using. I don’t have Cox but I had Comcast and now Spectrum. You are either renting a modem or a modem combo from Cox or you have your own modem. You will have to check with Cox on their website if you are allowed to own your own modem. If so, they will have an approved list of modems. Only purchase a modem not a combo since this router ,which is great by the way, will provide your WIFI throughout your home. Make sure the modem is at least a docsis 3.1 in order to obtain your speeds that this router supports. Since you will own your own modem and router the monthly rental fees will come off your bill. You will need to contact Cox to let them know and activate a signal for your modem.
