Hi Bonzz, Generally, this type of Wi-Fi Range Extender is designed to help improve Wi-Fi coverage within the same dwelling as your main Wi-Fi router. It is not intended for outdoor, linear Wi-Fi extension. Additionally, metal walls and doors will significantly impede, and often, outright block, Wi-Fi signal transmission.
