Not an expert as this is me first time installing. You made need one additional unit, depending on how big your house is. I got the 3 pack, 1500 sq. ft house, modem is in one corner and my office is diagonally in the opposite corner. Works great, no issues.

I imagine it’ll be easier to just get another one for easy set up since you already have two interfaced. You can get a different brand product but that also means you’ll need to download their app and go through another set up (which doesn’t necessarily mean difficult, just likely more time).

The good news is - all of our Deco models are compatible with each other. You can simply purchase more Decos (any Deco model, technically), then use the Deco app to add them to your existing Deco network. Although it is not required, we generally recommend ensuring the additional Decos match or exceed the specs of your existing Deco units for the sake of optimal performance.
