A:AnswerHello. I live in a 70+ year old home with the same issues... 2X6 framing, drywall covered by plaster. It is a ranch home which is very spread out. After quite a lot of research and discussions with an I.T. friend decided on the Deco unit. It works great. We have the three stations. One at each end room upstairs and one in the basement fitness room. Miles better than the older antenna router with extenders. FYI, we have Spectrum business class for our service.
A:AnswerYes, there are 2 ethernet ports on each device. The main will be connected to your internet gateway box and the other can be used for other devices. On the 2 other devices both ethernet ports can be used.
A:AnswerThe Deco M4 3-Pack is designed to provide WiFi coverage for up to 5,500 sq ft. If you home is 7000 sq ft, you will need additional Deco units; preferably 2 or 3 more, depending on your home's layout.

A:AnswerYou can try, but don’t think you will get a good connection if any at all. Best case would be the lower bandwidth 2.4 GHz band. All said, you should install a hard wire CAT6 cable between the garage and the network router/switch to get decent bandwidth. If hard wiring is not an option, there are point-to-point wireless bridge links that are available on the market, but line-of-sight is required for that link. Hope this helps!
A:AnswerYes, our Deco Mesh WiFi Systems are a great solution to provide connectivity for your home's wireless devices, including streaming devices, computers, smartphones, tablets and more. The Deco Mesh system utilizes industry standard WiFi protocols, it is compatible with older laptops as well.

A:AnswerIt doesn’t have to be different. But it will not know your old passcode. Even if you name your WiFi the same name and passcode as before, your devices will have to be connected manually, because it is a different. SSID.
A:AnswerNo, you don't have to call your provider and turn off WiFi. Just follow the instructions that comes with this TP Link and connect one node with your spectrum router/modem and setup the other 2 wherever you want to.
Your WiFi will work as before and you need to update your devices to use the TPLink WiFi and don't use the spectrum wifi . Hope this helps.
There is also a YouTube channel by TPLink support and they do have some videos you can watch or call them if you need help. Their support is very good and I did call them once with some questions.
A:AnswerHi! You should be able to simply connect the primary Deco node to your existing Internet source (e.g., modem, ONT, gateway) via Ethernet cable, and use the Deco app to conveniently set up and manage your Deco Mesh network.
A:AnswerI bought this and our house is about 3200 sq ft. and it works really good. I work at the backyard a lot and we are only using 2 out of 3 towers. I am sure if you use all 3, you would not run into any issues. You can also use an extender if needed.
Hope this helps
A:AnswerYes, you can connect the Deco Mesh WiFi system to your HughesNet modem, ONT, or gateway, to provide your home with seamless Mesh WiFi connectivity.
