• I believe the HS200 supports 2.4GHz only, so it needs to connect to the routers 2.4GHz network but I think You can manage it with your phone or iPad connected to either 2.4 or 5GHz network.

• Yes it does . I have it also connect to Samsung Smart things running off 5ghz Easiest switch to use and set up Better than my Leviton switches
