Color Night Vision is more of a misnomer than anything else. This feature only works in low-light conditions, for example, when it's dusk outside or when there are a lot of street lights and a porch light illuminating the area outside at night. When there is no light or an extremely low level of light, the image is in black and white. If you're using this inside a room with the lights off, it will always be black and white.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you turn off night mode, it’ll record at night in color using whatever little bit of light that it has surrounding it. Not the greatest, but it does work. Clarity is much better on full night vision.
