“how do I save picture sent to me via text from a friend. I tried save and thought it would go to album with camera but it did not......please help”

Press and hold your finger on the picture and a menu should pop up for you to save it. It will show up in your albums under downloads. If that doesn't work try just touching it and opening it in a new window and there should be an option at the top right of the picture to save it that way
