A:AnswerHi. This is Katrina from TracFone Wireless. Yes. You will be able to access the internet as long as you have a Wi-Fi connection. But you cannot cannot call or text using the phone without adding an airtime card. Thank you!
A:AnswerHi. This is Cristy from TracFone Wireless. If you have remaining minutes and service days from the old phone, you can transfer it to your new phone. To keep your service active, you will need to purchase and add an airtime card on or before your service end date. You can purchase any of the available Smartphone or Basic Plans with different service days included. We have plans that include 30, 60, 90 or 365 service days. TracFone airtime is issued in unit increments. All calls are charged at a rate of one (1) unit per minute. With some older TracFone handset models, roaming calls are charged at the rate of two (2) units per minute. There is no additional charge for nationwide long distance or for international long distance, in eligible plans, to countries designated at the website. For most feature phones, the rate to send or open a text message is 0.3 units. Smartphones have separate buckets of units for voice calls, text messaging and data usage. Voice calls are charged at the rate of one (1) unit per minute. Text messages are charged at the rate of one (1) unit per text. Data is charged based on actual usage. Thank you.
A:AnswerHi. This is Katrina from TracFone Wireless. The wireless technology for this Alcatel TCL A3 (A509DL) phone is 4G LTE(CDMA). 4G/4G LTE phones will work on the 5G network. These phones just won't get the 5G speed. You must have a 5G-capable phone to access the 5G network. Thank you.
