Yes. even though it says its not on the box, I was able to get the benefits transferred for a friend to this phone. It did take about 2 days and 4 calls to get the minutes and text to reflect on the new phone. Not sure if it was because of the original phone was reported lost or if its normal during transfer, ultimately it got done.
