It's an okay phone since I bought it as a backup phone to my apple phone. I'm used to apple phones and don't have much experience with android type phones to compare this with. I got this phone on Black Friday for $19.99 and it's a good bargain. Not a bad phone at all.

Good phone for the price. Although I got it on sale, I would happily pay more knowing what I know now. Battery life is not what they say it is but I can go a whole day easily with talking, texting and checking email. I've even gone two. Avoid using extra apps that you don't really need. I use Chrome to check facebook, twiter, etc. so I don't burn battery with having all these apps running in the background. This is not a high-end $500+ phone so don't expect it to last days on one charge with lots of apps running. Other things: Bright and colorful screen. Easy enough to browse web and type (I switch to different keyboard instead of default LG one). Thin and light but if you have big hands, get a rubberized case. This phone and the LG Zone 3 are identical so if your looking for cases, you'll get more hits searching for Rebel or L44VL or Zone 3

    Good Low-End Smartphone

This was my second Smartphone. I bought it because it had 8 Gb of memory, than my previous one had. Unfortunately, 8 Gb of memory is the bare minimum for Android phones because Google loads them with Google apps, which almost all reside in internal memory. Few can be moved to external memory. Only 485 Mb of data could be moved to the SD card. Don't bother getting a huge Gb SD card. I quickly ran out of internal memory and was unable to download more apps. I thought I overcame the low memory limits by purchasing another Android phone with the Marshmallow OS. Marshmallow 6.0 and above will let you format the SD card as internal memory. Or so it is advertised. The Marshmallow 6.0 phone will not allow me to use the SD card to expand the internal memory, most likely because it is another low-end phone. I realize that I should have kept my Rebel (I gave it to a friend). Both phones are easy to use, and I love having a Smartphone. The problem isn't with the phones, but with the limited internal memory monopolized by the Google apps. If you don't want to live with that restriction, you'll have to pay a lot more money to get a phone with more Gb of memory. I've become pretty picky about the apps I install, and many of the additional apps can be moved to the SD card. It's a reasonably-priced phone and does what I want it to do.

Phone is Great ... TracFone is Not!

The LG Rebel is a great phone at a great price. It takes good pictures, especially with the rear facing camera. I added a 32G micro SD card and transfer apps so that have no storage problems so far. The 4G LTE works great (where available)!. The big problem is TracFone. Initially I had problems transferring my service from my old phone to the LG Rebel. After over an hour on the phone with TracFone, they told me they couldn't do anything more for me because I purchased from Best Buy and to call them. Needless to say I was not happy with TracFone. But the next day the phone started to work correctly and not sure what the problem was. TracFone is cheap, and the service you get reflects what you pay!!! But the LG Rebel is a great phone at any price.

    My first Tracfone smartphone

I've used no-frill tracfone phones for years & a month ago I decided to take the plunge and upgrade to this phone. I'm very satisfied overall. You can easily change your mobile data setting from off to on and not worry about accidentally using your data credit. Lots of 'bells and whistles" for a phone in this price range...I was worried about the hassle of activating a new phone and transferring minutes (1000+) but it was much easier doing it online rather than calling their 800 number: Since I already had an account set up on the tracfone website for my old phone, I clicked on "add new phone" and entered the new phone info (model # and serial #) and was able to activate the phone and indicate that I wanted to keep my old phone #. Once completed, you will see the screen telling you how many minutes & service days are on your old phone (you can print this screen if needed) and you are told to keep your new phone on. Once you no longer have service on your old phone you will need to turn new phone off then back on. Then make a test call. If you are keeping your old phone # like I did, you may need to log back into your account to verify your phone # to complete the process. Overall, it was much easier to activate this way instead of spending countless minutes on their 800 number.

LG Rebel L44VL 4G LTE with 8GB Memory

I had a lot of credits with Tracfone and didn’t want to lose them. I had been using a terrible half-smart Zte valet phone and often had to take battery out and reset each time I tried to use it. When I saw this TracFone - LG Rebel L44VL 4G LTE with 8GB Memory I was so happy to buy it. This phone is a true “Smart phone” and I was able to transfer my credits from the old Tracfone to this one with just a phone call. I basically use this phone for emergency calls and text messaging. I like the feature of using it thru my Comcast wifi. Also can answer my home phone calls on it (Comcast internet phone) which is handy when I am not home. This phone charges up quickly. With this phone I can connect to the internet when I need to. I like the Android system and it works well with google calendar, addresses, and with One Drive documents. I did not want to pay $600+for a phone. This one works just fine for me and I get triple minutes with Tracfone and it costs me about $7 a month. I do not use a phone as my primary computer, but this phone works well for my needs. I am a “happy customer” with the LG Rebel. I did add a 4 gb SD card as the 8 GB was gobbled up pretty fast with the OS.

I'm very impressed with my new phone. It's a nice size and not too heavy. Reception is excellent. It probably doesn't have all the features of a much more expensive phone, but it does everything I need it to do, and it is very affordable. It uses the Verizon network, so coverage is excellent.

    Bought Strictly for Pokémon Go

Hopefully this review will help someone else solely looking for a cheap device to play Pokémon Go on. Phone Specs (as of 8/29/2018) Operating System: Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop) Screen Resolution: 854 x 480 Phone Memory: 1 GB Pokémon Go requirements (as of 8/29/18) Version: 0.115.3 Operating System: Android 4.4 or above Screen Resolution: 720 × 1280 (Preferred resolution) Phone Memory: 2 GB (Recommended but not required) Pokémon Go will run on this phone, but not without some issues. I've listed some of the things I've run across: - While running the game, navigating to a different app or off Pokémon Go will cause the game to reboot in most cases. (This is due to the low RAM the phone has compared to what the game requires) - Trying to search for a pokémon by name will bring up a pop-up from the bottom screen that allows you type. This occasionally does not open properly and you're unable to search. Navigating to and from the pokémon page will usually remedy this. - If you choose to use Calcy IV to check stats of pokémon, you must open it first, then boot the game. - I suggest connecting the phone via ADB (Android Debug Bridge) so you can have the bottom navigation hidden on the game. The screen on this phone is already small and hiding this navigation helps with room to throw the ball. (information on how to hide that: https://www.reddit.com/r/TheSilphRoad/comments/7884a9/disable_navigation_bar_on_pok%C3%A9mon_go_without/) - When teethering the connection from my own phone, the GPS is slow to update, sometimes not at all. This leads me to rebooting the game on the phone so the GPS will update, otherwise the account doesn't walk anywhere and remains standing aimlessly. (I have Verizon as a carrier if anyone is curious) Overall, the phone has served its purpose but in highsight, I would have coughed up the extra bit of money to compensate for the lack of necessary RAM. I'd go with a device that has 2GB of RAM so you won't have to deal with these little annoyances, otherwise if you want to run Pokémon Go on a super cheap device, this one will do it. (for now)

Easy to learn to use smartphone, it gives you tips and prompts and easy to correct if you mess up. I'm "technically challenged" and this is a wonderful phone to use. Nice size screen, great camera both directions & has Albums for organization. Only down side is the keyboard is a bit tight.so big fingers, tread lightly. Love how it can complete words, commonly used phrases & learns YOUR speech patterns,

I am a bit disappointed in that the battery seems to be half done almost every day even though I don't use the phone a lot. The memory is also a bit small. However the phone works good and is relatively easy to use even for a novice.

    Daughters Phone

My daughter inherited my Tracfone when I switched carriers. She HAD the LG Optimus 2 before she dropped in the street crushing the battery cover. She saw this phone at another store for more money, so I shopped around and found the best deal was at Best Buy! She likes this phone better and now that she has a hybrid case and tempered glass screen protector. It seems to have the same glitches most lower end cell phones have (having to take the battery out to get it to turn on etc) and the SIM card went bad after 2 weeks. Tracfone sent replacement and it seems to be doing fine so far.

Bought this phone on a Black Friday special as a replacement for an older Tracfone that I was using. This phone has a good combination of features and screen size. The phone works well and the battery holds a charge for 3 to 4 days with limited to moderate use. I would recommend the phone for people who are looking for a basic phone with capabilities for texting and limited Web access.

This phone is a nice upgrade from the LG Sunrise. It has more memory, a bigger better screen and a better camera. The only thing I would change is the silver part on the bottom of the phone. I think it would look better if the front of the phone was all black.

Needed a new cell phone for my wife that was inexpensive and easy to use with smartphone capabilities and this one fit the bill. It had the MOST current Android operations systems and works well on the Verizon network.WiFi is great and so many apps it makes your head spin. I thought my wife to use 90% of the phones capability in one night and now she is smartphone savvy. Great purchase.

Got this phone for my business. I had originally bought a Samsung that Tracfone and Best Buy couldn't get unlocked so Best Buy decided to substitute this LG phone for the same on sale price as the Samsung. I am very glad they did, This is a nice phone. Works very well and seems very responsive. I already have a LG V10 phone which I love and this one didn't disappoint. It didn't come with a bunch of garbage on it so it has a very clean interface, just the essentials. I got the 1 year plan which came with 1500 min talk, 1500 text and 1.5 gig data. Once installed on phone it all doubled to 3000 min talk, 3000 text and 3.0 gig of data, great deal. Phone call clarity, battery life and reception is very good. No problems so far.
