“The description clearly states it can be used as mobile hotspot, that is very misleading since I read an earlier question asking about using this as a hotspot and you answered it couldn't be used for that purpose. Why can't it be linked to data minutes?”

The phone can't be used for a hotspot and tethering data to any mobile device or computer is prohibited by terms and conditions.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You're totally correct! I too purchased this phone because it claims it can support Wifi Hot Spot. NO IT CAN NOT. Well maybe the phone can but Tracfone will not allow it. Tracfone states that it's some sort of violation of their rules. Well I think Tracfone should revise their rules and allow us to use the Hot Spot function. Tracfone could make a huge profit on their data plans but Tracfone chooses not to.
