You only have to plug the headset into the wireless controller to get game audio and voice chat.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm not familiar with the x12, but to answer your question about plugging the headset in there are 2 things you need to be aware of. (This is for the xb1 by the way.) 1. there is a usb patch cable included in the box that you need to connect the headset directly to the console, but that is only for updating the firmware/software for the headset. Once you have completed the update, you do not need the cable until there is another software update available. 2. the mixer (small black component with volume controls) plugs directly in the controller, then the headset plugs into the mixer through a 3.5mm jack. This is nice because you can unplug the headset from your controller and plug it into your cell phone to answer a call very easily.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The turtle beach earforce xo one headset consists of 1 cable when using for gaming. It comes with an audio adapter that connects the headset to the bottom of your controller, acts as a middle man, (controller, audio adapter, headset). It comes with a micro usb to update your controller once the headset is connected to the controller and turned on. After you update your controller you no longer need the micro usb. This headset is powered by the controller batteries and the mic can conveniently be easily removed if needed. The url I have added below is the turtle beach YouTube video regarding the ear force xo one headset hope this helped. https://youtu.be/lusvr0WiuVU
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm not exactly familiar with the x12. But it sounds like they hook up like the x41's I have. All I had to get was an adapter that plugs into the one's controller and it has the 3.5 mm to plug your headset into. Everything else on mine hooked up the same on the one as they did on the 360. I recommended the adapter in my answer so you can see what I'm talking about it. It costs $25 but that's a lot cheaper than new headset. Hope this answered your question and if not I'm sorry
I would recommend:
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.on cord that plugs into the controller.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Just the 3.5m headphone plug. The USB cable it comes with is to update the controller to newest firmware.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We have the X12's. Our chat cable or chat jacks went bad with little use. Regardless of that...these Turtle Beach XO ONE headphones come with there own designed stereo adaptor. This adaptor plugs into the bottom of the controller like the MS one. Then plug the headphones into the adaptor and you are ready to rock. ONE cord, that's it! Sooooo much better then the X12 with it's spider web of wires. Enjoy and happy gaming!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I own the X12 so I know exactly what you are talking about. Assuming you are purchasing these for an Xbox One, it's as simple as this: 1. Plug in the included audio adapter to the bottom of your controller. 2. Plug in the cable coming from the XO One headphones to the adapter. Now enjoy :)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi K-Man, Excellent question (and also a concern I had before purchasing this headset). The only plug in required is into the bottom of the Xbox One controller. Everything works with just that plug.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I am assuming that you are asking about the Force XO one earphones and not the earforce x12 since this is what you are posting the question to. I owned the x12s before. I kept tripping over the cord and stuff and they finally turned all staticy. The Force XO are considered wireless. They run off the controller battery instead of having a USB connection to the xboc. They plug into the adapter (included) and the adapter into the controller. It's nice because you can walk a limited range with them. It has a standard size plug so you can use these headphones with your phone, media player, or computer as well. They run off whatever power source you plug them into like any other headphones.
