Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Mic quality is okay, and definitely better than the Astro A50. It's internal, meaning there are no extensions outside of the headset. The mic doesn't have a volume setting but it has presets, that are adjusted (soft to loud). I've set it to loud and no ones complained about me communicating via in game.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Not bad. It takes a while to get used to no boom. I've tweaked mic monitor to eliminate almost all echo but there is still a slight echo. Hoping next firmware update offers more customization ability.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.As far as my experience goes, GREAT. I can give you 2 examples. First, my Destiny group commented on my sound when I first got them, and said it was better than when I was using my Sony Golds, and my A50's. Second, my wife called while I was playing, and I answered the call on the headset, she heard my controller going in the background and asked if I was on the headset, when I told her yes, she said it was as clear as if I was just talking on my iphone. Hope that helps your decision.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The Mic quality has to be the worst I have ever encountered among headsets above $40. I was using an X12 before this, a $40 headset, and that mic quality was worlds above this. If i had to say the X12, or PX22 rated a 10/10 for mics... and they are amazing... Then this scores a 2/10 a VERY bad mic for voice quality. You can be heard fine, You just sound like you are talking on a can on a string.. and I mean that literally. Now it offers Noise cancelling even if you are outside in a windy area.. and the mics are on the side of your face so there is no worries about breathing on the mic. Also the mic simply mics up almost NOTHING in the room only your voice. So the tech behind the mic is good and it really cleans up a lot of issues you have with most mics.... however in the end the voice quality is just "tinny" Which really sucks since Turtle beaches very own $40 product sound much better even though they lack all those features.
