• This product comes with all possible ways to connect and the cords needed to do so. You won't have to buy one. Plus if you have a flat screen you just connect it to the Tv and the sound from your game console will play through the surround sound....it comes with a optic cable, HDMI cable and even coaxial cable...plus Bluetooth!

• Connect the transmitter directly to the TV via optical audio and you can push any audio from the TV to the headset. Prevents the need to swap between consoles. Just make sure your audio settings on your consoles and TV are set to DTS or Dolby surround sound to take full advantage of the headset's ability.

• If you have a 3.5 mm cable, then it should work with no problem with the adapter. The newer XB1 controllers have a 3.5 mm input, so if you had one of those you wouldn't need the adapter.
