If I understand you right, "to program" you mean by setting sound modes, you need to download turtle beach program for you computer, weather it's windows or mac. After you connect both docking station and headphones you will be able to program it.

Please try again later.Two options 1) download the ear force audio hub software for the pc/mac and connect to the micro usb port labeled programming on the base and to the micro usb port on the headset, or 2) connect via bluetooth to an android phone or tablet and use the ear force app (need to be updated to a specific minimum version of the firmware, 1.30 maybe)

If your referring to the PS4, there's only an optical wire and a USB cable to hook up, then the manual gives you step by step instructions on which PS4 settings to change and the location of each setting. I do recommend making sure your headset is running the most up to date firmware before attempting to install.

Once downloaded you can update the head phones and setup any way you want. You can also download the mobile app for Android or IOS, works great.

That is done via PC connected by USB or from an android device with the turtle beach app connected via Bluetooth. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.turtlebeach.px8audiohub There does not seem to be an iOS app however.

PC you will need to select optical out for the default sound device. Then select astro amp for default communication device. Other than that there should be no other programming or config.
