• If you have a Verizon SIM card then yes. If you are on a prepaid plan then it's dead simple- pull your existing sim and just swap in. If your account is post-pay (e.g. contract), then it won't work immediately. You will have to call Verizon customer service to get it unlocked first. It takes some doing but it is possible.

• Yes as long as it is a Verizon prepaid account. You might could choose to use an old number from another company but you would have to speak with customer service to set it up
