- Answer Yes after getting it. Verizon told me their policy changed as of Sept 1 and all phones are locked up to one year. Returning the phone. Verizon wireless support does not know anything.

- Answer Yes - it will work with just WiFi. Before turning it on the first time, remove the back & remove the Verizon micro-SIM card. This will prevent you from being forced into the process for activating the Verizon service as part of the setup process.

QuestionIs there 16GB's of memory or 8? Everything reads 16 except for the descriptions below the image which reads"The quad-core processor lets you browse websites or stream movies right in the palm of your hand, and there's 8GB of memory" Please clarify.

- Answer It does have 16gb. I'm not sure why it says 8gb, but I purchased this phone and am actually using it now. It does have 16gb's of memory.

- Answer If you have a Verizon sim and an active account it should work. It worked for me. It does have some VZ bloatware, but some of it can be disabled in App Mgmt.

QuestionI noticed this phone has 2G wireless technology while most others have 2G, 3G, 4G, 4G LTE, LTE. Does that mean this phone will be slower since it is only picking up the 2G band?

- Answer It is NOT just 2G, it is NOT only picking up the 2G band. It is fully 4G LTE. I suppose you might be getting the wrong idea that it is only 2G from this Best Buy web page, where it says: Specifications > Key Specs > Wireless Technology: 2G . I don't know why they say that, it might be technically correct in some way, but it's certainly misleading/confusing, Notice that this page does say elsewhere: 4G LTE speed, and Data Transmission Operating Band LTE Band 4 . If you want further assurance, just Google the the model number.

- Answer Per motorola: XT1609 for Verizon has only LTE 2/4/5/13 and CDMA. Yes, they will unlock it after 1 year if you activate it. No, you cant use it on t-mobile voice. It has 2/3 bands of LTE compatible, but t-mobile has VOLTE in limited areas.

- Answer Verizon prioritizes the phone and it will only work on their network initially. I understand that after 3 months or so you can change from Verizon to another network. However you will be better off to get an unlocked phone. Check first with your provider for the units they use.

- Answer Plug it in to your PC with a Micro to standard USB cord. They come with lots of gadgets, so you might already have one. Treat the phone as an external drive, if it asks. The phone doesn't come with a SD card, it has some built in memory and a slot that you can add an SD card, if you need more memory.

- Answer Yes, the back cover pops off and you have to briefly remove the battery to insert the SIM bard and micro-SD card for expanded storage. Very simple process. The battery is a Motorola GK40 3.8V lithium ion.

- Answer No it doesn't. I know that there are apps where it uses the camera flash as a notification light but it would have to be in the back of the phone because the is no front facing light.

- Answer There is not a USB port on the phone. You can, however, transfer your music to a micro SD card and then you can put the micro SD card in your phone and have your music.

- Answer Only "bloatware" on my verizon phone was My Verizon and the Google Apps after the I had nothing but normal use apps. Although I did have to go get My Files.

- Answer Maybe after you have the phone for 6months you can get it unlocked. I know the settings can be altered to use on the cricket network which is GSM.

- Answer The lower priced version is for Verizon wireless network. The higher priced product is network unlocked for freedom to choose carrier.

- Answer You are locked into verizon's service for 6 continuous months after which you can then request they unlock it. For my 2 cents, spend the extra few bucks and get the unlocked version.
