“Will this work work with just wifi without setting up a Verizon account?”

• Yes - it will work with just WiFi. Before turning it on the first time, remove the back & remove the Verizon micro-SIM card. This will prevent you from being forced into the process for activating the Verizon service as part of the setup process.

• Yes, this will work without setting up a Verizon account. However if you wish to make phone calls or surf on the internet while not connected to a WiFi hot spot, then you will need a Verizon account.

• Yes, I use the phone for music & chromecasting. There is a persistent "insert SIM" notification in the status bar that you cannot get rid of though.

• It's a prepaid phone. If you have a phone number from another company you can take it with you, but the answer is yes
