A:AnswerMost models of viper alarm will have a aux button and you can have the place your getting it installed or yourself program it to open your trunk. For example, my alarm is a entry level model 3105V and I have it setup for a press and hold longer than a 1 to open my trunk. Also a fast press of the aux let’s you silently unlock or lock your vehicle without the horn or alarm chip go off.
A:AnswerJust recently I had a Viper one way system installed.
I went directly to the service area and talked to service guy about my old alarm. He asked me if I wanted it checked out. I decided to have a new one installed and ordered it right on the spot including scheduling an appointment.
You should go directly to the service people and maybe get some assistance.
A:AnswerIf you have total tech, the basic install is free. If your looking for power lock/unlock, it would require some relays/switches wired in. That will cost extra. How much I’m not sure. If your ok with using the fob and then the key, this is a good inexpensive alarm.
A:AnswerI do not believe the installer told me anything about phone notifications. It is a very basic alarm. So far im finding out that it can be pretty sensitive and works great for me so far.
A:Answeri wouldnt see why not but every vehicle is different and i would think it depends on what feature you are looking for i think this is a basic unit but still does the job for me
A:Answerthe installation specialist at best buy can give you the best recommendations but my car is manual too it works for me but i already had an alarm that locked/unlocked my car so it wasnt an issue when i got this new alarm it might cost extra for them to do it cause it would need the parts if u want the alarm to lock/unlock when u arm/disarm the alarm
