A:AnswerRE: Best Buy as a source of external tuners, when I asked if they sold them at the store I visited I was told flat out "No" by three different employees.
A:AnswerThe TV needs a smartphone or tablet to adjust the settings and must hooked to a cable or satellite tv box because there is no built in channel tuner. It must rely on the cable or satellite Box to change channels.
And since she is 91, I wouldn't recommend this TV for her. This TV really needs a smartphone or tablet and also it needs to connect to the Internet to upgrade software and to use the apps so you must have a tablet or smartphone for them to work.
I would not buy this for my 70 year old parents because everytime they wanted to adjust the TV display I would have to drive over and do it for them. I would recommend a Non Smart tv that has a built in channel tuner and a full funtion remote. Just my thoughts.
