• Yes this will. I have this 4tb external backing up 3 of my Macbook Pros. 2 of my MBPs have 1TB drives and the other a 500GB drive, so the 4TB is perfect for all.

• Yes. I use it with Time Machine to back up two Macs. You will need to format it for Mac before you can use it.
