“Is this usable on the PS4 to save games without much latency when playing? I'm looking to expand storage and I feel like a 2 TB "licensed" drive might not be worth the money a 4 TB non-licensed drive is.”

I can't tell you about PS4, but we have one connected to a Xbox One, works fine.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If you are looking to just use the drive for storage then it will work wonders. I would recommend transferring the game you want to play to your PS4 before playing since the drive is powered by the device its connected to. There isn't a huge difference in latency, its more about getting longevity from your drive. If you want to play directly from the HD you might want to consider one with it's own power supply.
