Just purchased this yesterday and upon install it says that all 4TB are filled with "other" and there is no space available. This can't be correct. What do you do??? Any ideas?? null

It might be that the default drive formatting is incopatible with your OS. I would suggest re-formatting the drive.

What did you install? You don't need the software they include, it's pretty much useless. Just use it as a normal external hard drive.

Do you have a mac or windows? Usually this is a plug and play device, there really shouldn't be any installation (like a USB thumb drive, just plug it in and start using). I would see what other data is on there, it doesn't seem typical to me. I would first see what's taking up all the space (if its brand new..) .. otherwise I would take it back or try reformatting the hard drive to a different partition type. That's usually the case when you're trying to use them with MacBooks. A quick google search should be able to help you. Good luck
