Yes. You can partition as much as you want. For both Mac and PC at the same time.

Yes, any HDD can be. Windows uses NTFS able iOS uses HFS for HDD format. However a HDD can be formatted into exFAT and then both operating systems would function with the HDD.

Yes. I use mine for music. I am a DJ, and primarily use a Mac. However, I sometimes can get some files arranged at work on the PC. To answer your question, I formatted the drive in the FAT32 format. It allows me to interchange between a Mac & PC. Hope that helps.
