This hard drive is not wireless so it is not a network drive. You can connect it to a computer and then assign it to a network drive letter and use it this way but the computer would need to be up when you wanted to use it as a Network drive. You can do this with any hard drive.

Do not know if this drive is good for networking. All I can tell is that WD easystore is working great with my non networked personal PC and I hope it keeps working for eternity....Nevertheless I don't see why it could not network fine....Greetings!

It’s not, I would suggest the my cloud as the hd is built with nasware and has 5yr warranty same price range
