You could use drive imaging software (which gives you a file you can use to reinstall) or drive cloning software (which make a second drive a duplicate of the first drive). Many of the drive image programs provide you with a program that allows you to browse the image to see what is there. If you are cloning the drive, remove the original drive, and boot from the clone drive and you will see that everything is there.
