• Yes, just plug it into a USB port, let windows recognize it and assign it a drive letter, then drag and drop your files. It will work with Windows XP.

• From what I've read, it may be useful to know, though, that Windows XP won't recognize an external drive larger than 2 TB, so if you want to attach a larger external drive directly to the XP computer, it won't work.
