Extra Storage for PS4
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have the original PS4 with only 500GB of storage space. The PS4 Pro (and the newer PS4 regular) comes with 1TB. I was constantly running out of space on my console, unable to install new games, download updates, etc. and I was hesitant to upgrade to a $400 Pro just for more storage space. I also did not want to risk installing a new HD on my own. With the new PS4 update, it allows you to use an external hard drive as additional storage space. (Note that you do not need the My Passport that specifically says it's for "PS4" in the title. The standard USB 3.0 Portable Hard Drive will do.) I plugged it in and followed the simple instructions for my PS4 to format it, and voila, 4TB of additional storage -- thank god! I immediately downloaded all the games that were sitting in the queue, and also transferred all of my existing games to the external drive. I went from barely a GB of free space on my PS4 to about 300 free GB, which I can now use to save gameplay footage, screenshots, etc. without getting an error that there's not enough space. Works like a charm and I've had zero issues with it.

great product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this hard drive for my Xbox one. I had 1TB at first but I ended up using most of it so I upgraded to this one. It has so much space that its going to be a long time before I will have to delete anything. On the plus side it does fit great with the Xbox One with its design.

Great Storage...Slow Seek Speed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a desktop 3 TB drive with my iTunes and iMovie libraries on it and I was filling it up, so I thought, why not migrate to a portable drive? That way I'd never have to worry about the power cord and I could easily take the drive around with me to home or school. Well there's a trade off...you get the larger drive space with a portable, but I lost quite a bit of the seeking speed. It's nothing too bad, just a little spinning-wheel-of-death lag of 5 seconds when choosing a new song on iTunes or when dragging a clip in iMovie. Annoying, but usable. Stick with a desktop if you are a professional user, this is just for casual users with large databases.

External memory for PS4
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Did some research and found this hard drive would be compatible with PS4 to use as a memory device. Plugged it into PS4 with the supplied usb cable and it was formatted for use very quickly. Applications may be downloaded, however, save files and saved photos, etc can’t be saved to the drive. It’s really not an issue considering those files are very small. Transferred all my existing games to the drive and still have plenty of space. You can even select to use the drive as the save location for new applications you download which is convenient.

Sleek and Powerful
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.1tb on my PS4 went real quick. I'm not even a gamer. I blame Red Dead Redemption.. Haha! Anyways I have the limited Days of Play Edition PS4 an I was lucky enough to fine this Royal Blue external that matched the color perfectly. Easy to set up, games load quick. A must have.

Q: QuestionDoes this work well with Xbox One?
Asked by Notoi3.
- A:Answer This item works great with the Xbox One. Simply plug it in while the system is on and the Xbox One will handle the rest. No noticeable lag in game load times at all. In fact, it may be a little faster. Best of all, plenty of room for games - load all you want for some time to come.

Q: Questionit shows drive E:/ how do you change it. Need drive F:/
Asked by papergirl.
- A:Answer 1. Close all the files you have open on the drive. 2. Right click on the My Computer (or This PC on Win10) icon and select mange. 3. Once that window comes up go to Disk Management on the left side. 4. Right click on the drive letter (should be listed at the top). 5. There is an option there to change the drive letter and paths. 6. Select the drive, click change, select the desired drive letter and then hit OK. Another way to get the Computer Management screen up is hold down the windows key and hit R to open a run prompt. enter in "compmgmt.msc" without the quotes and hit enter. Then pick up from step 3 above.
