These are based on IP and Mac address, I see no issue with 2 into same outlet. As far as number of devices on an extension cord?, The limit will be the rated limit of the wemo as well as the circuit the wemo is plugged into. For example, if your wall outlet is supported by a 10amp breaker and lets say as an example the wemo was rated at 10amps, considering you want to have 2 wemo's on the same outlet will limit you to a combined amperage of both wemo's which could not exceed 10 amps total, I don't know the rated limit of this model of wemo, I'm using them for lights only. They do make different models with various capacity ratings.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, Longislander1. You can plug in a power strip/surge protector to control multiple devices. The Mini is rated 15A/60Hz/1800W at 120V. Each plugged device will count toward that limit. Make sure not to exceed that amount to prevent setbacks.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It should work, but remember that every plug has a maximum load capacity. 1000 incandescent mini-lights should be no problem for one of these switches but I'd send an email to the manufacturer just to be safe.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You should be able to as long as you stay under the plug's rated load limit.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If the strip is not over loaded and has a toggle type power switch as compared to a push button switch that resets to off if you lose power, you could plug the wemo between the outlet and the strip and it would work.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You should be able to do this is just a gateway switch How are you going to plug two of these in series? that would be dumb
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.you Can plug them into single wall socket for sure as I do have it the same way . Regarding bunch of lights I’m not sure how many lights but I think it’s would be okay for the 8 foot tree
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have not tried it, but should work as all it does is cuts the power when not needed for that outlet.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Not a good idea from the electrical load standpoint ... overload possible on circuit. Now the question can it be done and operate. Assuming amperage and watts match up. Yes it will work. 15 amp 120 circuit can handle 1800 watts.
