      Answer

No hub is necessary for this to work with Alexa. You need to enable the Wemo skill under the Alexa app and once you have installed this Wemo WiFi plug, you have to discover in your Alexa app. Then it should work flawlessly.

What does it mean by Wi-Fi is it only for wireless use from whatever is plugged into it in the app or will it turn my non Smart TV into a smart TV with the Wi-Fi just wondering   (5 Answers)

        Answer

The Wi-Fi part of the name means that the plug is controlled remotely by connecting it to your home Wi-Fi. And while it can allow you to remotely power on or off your TV, it won't add any "Smart" TV features to it.

We had a heater plugged into one & it got very hot so I wouldn't suggest plugging an AC into one. I would think it would pull a lot of juice.

Can a few of these safely be plugged into a power strip? The use would be to control three lamps separately.   (5 Answers)

Yes, I don't see why you would not be able to plug two or three of these into a single power strip. As long as the appliances (e.g. lights or fan or radio) don't draw extreme power, you will be fine.
